Introduction- I’m excited for you to join me in this adventure but before we talk about my wedding planning saga, I wanted to introduce you to my unexpected love story below.

Her tears mingled with the boiling water on the stove as she stirred the rigatoni pasta and battled the onslaught of emotions over yet another man ghosting her.

“That’s the funny thing about going on so many dates,” she joked to her mom, “in the past I would have hoped that this would go somewhere, now, well I find it hard to believe I’ll ever find the right guy.”

Until one day…

She drove to the mall her knuckles white with gripping the wheel as she chatted with her mom about yet another date. ¨We both know this could be just another date that doesn’t work out.¨

¨But we always have hope,´ her mom insisted.

She sighed, ended the call and summoning her courage she gripped her purse strap and strode the several feet to the entrance of the sushi place where she would be meeting yet another guy from a dating app. When he came into focus, they hugged, and walked into the restaurant together.

The whole evening between the food, conversation and a stroll through Williams and Sonoma, she had the feeling that something was different about this man but she couldn’t put her finger on just what that was.

At the end of the evening when they left the mall together, she made to leave but he asked her to walk with him to his car. When they got there he reached in and pulled out a dozen roses. Dumbfounded she stood there spluttering about his nice car and about how she wanted to get a new one herself.

When they finally parted ways she knew she wanted to see him again and that it could go somewhere. A tiny seed of hope had been planted in her heart and she was baffled at how it had completely taken her by surprise.
